Quilters (This may be done as a 45 minute presentation to a guild, as well as in a workshop format.) The student may expect to learn: * What colors mean to us. * To differentiate which colors appeal to them most. * What a background does in influencing or directing the “feel” of a quilt or block. * To disregard some of the rules or limits placed on them by others (or even themselves!). * How to combine color(s) in a way which pleases them. * What it means to “play well with others” or “be a good neighbor” in the color world. * Which colors interact well together and why. The student will have hands on, interactive time with tools that will help her/him develop some sense of what works for her/him. In doing so, the person will learn to build a block with design elements, seeing the result of added color(s). | ![]() ![]() |
